Laboratory Dancers is offering 2 different technique classes this fall. All classes are on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm at the Fulton Street Collective. Single class is a suggested donation of $7 and full-session registration is suggested at $25. We encourage registering for all 5 classes! Just show up a bit early on the first day and we’ll get you registered.
Don’t have much moolah, but still want to dance? Laboratory Dancers is committed to offering affordable and accessible dance training,
education and performance. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. No one will be turned away if they donate extra, either.

OCT 04Compositional Improv
October 4 to October 5Session 1: Compositional Improvisation taught by Beth Berta
7:30-9:00pm at the Fulton Street Collective
Dancers will learn the basics of improvisational movement creation and compositional decision-making, both individually and as an ensemble. Group engagement and a collective focus on space, time, and arch will allow dancers to begin to create meaningful, interesting, exciting, weird, and pointed work from scratch, in real time. Dancers will explore new movement generation and development techniques, with an understanding of the value of working toward a cohesive and content-rich end product.
