American Rhythm Center
The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) announces the establishment of the American Rhythm Center (ARC), a shared, affordable and sustainable education, rehearsal and administrative facility for several leading Chicago arts organizations. This new institution is located in renovated spaces on the 3rd floor of Chicago’s historic Fine Arts Building, 410 S. Michigan Avenue.
CHRP will develop the ARC, a collaborative effort to foster community growth through rhythmic expression, in several phases. The aim is to offer diverse, high-quality dance and movement classes to the general public while centralizing the education programs, rehearsal space and administrative offices of several core groups, as well as additional emerging companies and independent artists.
The idea for ARC grew from a CHRP strategic planning process followed by intensive, collaborative planning with participating community partners, including:

Here’s how it works:
Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the class you wish to take during the dates of the promotion: January 7-13.
Check-in at the registration desk when you arrive to sign up for the promotion and receive your TOUR the ARC punch card, allowing you to take one free class from any of the participating ARC partners with a logo included on the card.New Students: Your TOUR the ARC punch card will be distributed after you have completed your liability waiver,
Existing Students: Any student who has already registered and paid for a class is still eligible to participate. Your current instructor will distribute your TOUR the ARC punch card after your enrolled class.
To redeem a FREE class, the participating partner’s logo will be punched out from your TOUR the ARC punch card.
The TOUR the ARC punch card is valid through January 13, 2013. Please keep your TOUR the ARC punch card with you at all times. Lost/stolen cards will not be replaced.

JUN 21Giordano Dance Chicago Workshop
June 21 to June 23GIORDANO DANCE CHICAGO concludes its landmark 50th Anniversary Season with an ALL-NEW Giordano Workshop June 21 - 23, 2013. Be part of the pulse of one of America’s greatest dance capitals! Located in the heart of the downtown dance corridor, the Giordano Workshop will take place at the Fine Arts Building and the Katten-Landau Studio at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. This unique summer intensive with America’s original jazz dance company will include Giordano technique and repertoire, leaps, turns, jumps, injury prevention, and wellness.
