    Winifred Haun & Dancers Audition

    WINIFRED HAUN & DANCERS TO HOLD AUDITIONS IN SEPTEMBER

    Winifred Haun & Dancers seeks male and female dancers for a 7 week contract period:
    September 16 to November 4 (with possible extension)
    Contract includes rehearsal & performance pay, performances in the Chicago area and tours to Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Colorado.

    Qualified candidates will:
    *possess a strong technical background in ballet, modern and jazz and performing experience
    *be available for rehearsals on Wednesdays 9:00am to 11:30am and Sundays 1:00pm to 4:00pm
    *be available for performances October 5, October 18-21 and November 2
    *have experience with or are willing to learn and possibly perform aerial technique

    The Audition will be
    Sunday, September 9, 2012
    1:00pm to 4:00pm
    at
    Lou Conte Dance Studio at the Hubbard St. Dance Center
    1147 W. Jackson
    in Chicago


    Winifred Haun & Dancers is a Chicago and Oak Park based modern dance company led by award winning dancer and choreographer, Winifred Haun.  Frequently featured in the Chicago Reader, the Chicago Tribune, TimeOut Chicago and WBEZ Radio, the Company has performed at many prestigious midwest venues including,  Dance Center of Columbia College, Athenaeum Theatre, Link’s Hall, Overture Center (Madison, WI), Epic Center (Kalamazoo, MI), the Montrose (Colorado) Pavilion, Ruth Page Center for the Arts, and in many nontraditional performing spaces such as Historic Pleasant Home and Cheney Mansion.

    Tickets: $6, includes snacks and drinks
    This event will present three works-in-progress, one each by choreographers Winifred Haun, Ayako Kato, director of Art Union Humanscape and Lizzie Leopold of the Leopold Group. There will also be a discussion about each artist’s dance making process and audience members will have a chance to respond, comment and give feedback on the new works.
